The Perfectly Comfy College Bed
I have recently started to move into my new college apartment and have the desire to make my bedroom as comfy as possible. The most important part of a bedroom, to me and to you, is the bed. So I did some research on what makes a comfy bed to sleep in, nap in, watch TV in, and cuddle in. And this is what I came up with as the ultimate plan for a successful comfy bed.
1. Hang string lights above your bed or around the room.
It can make the room magical and no need for that bright annoying ceiling light to be on all the time.
2. Invest in a real down comforter.
They bring beautiful weightless clouds of warmth when it’s chilly outside or when heating get costly, because as college students we don’t have an endless money supply. And if you are allergic to the feathers (or the cost) there are feather free and budget friendly options out there to explore.
3. Skip the annoying top sheet and go for the washable duvet cover.
Getting rid of that annoying top sheet that wraps around you and place it with a luxurious duvet cover that can add color or patters to a rather plain room. And making your bed is effortless and zero work.
4. When in doubt just add pillows.
Pillows are the key factor to increasing your cozy and comfy factors significantly. As a baseline, two per side is a must and any more will help but remember don’t go crazy.
5. Invest in a nightstand or make one.
You can place a lamp on your new nightstand so to never again get out of the comfy bed you created to turn off the overhead light. And it’s always nice to have a place to put your reading books and phone instead of on the floor.
6. Last but not least Make Your Bed EVERY Day.
It can be a hassle and I might sound like your mother but you’ll feel as if you were in a hotel just sliding into the already made beds and falling into a deep sleep.
I hope this helped and now you desire a comfy bed with lots of pillows because I do too.
